The Compatibility System analyzes harmony and conflict between two people based on classical BaZi and Eight Mansions feng shui.
I. Structure of 4 Analysis Layers
1. Natal Element (Na Yin)
Derived from the lunar birth year's Stem-Branch to determine the Na Yin element. Analyzes generation, restriction, and balance between the two natal elements.
2. Heavenly Stem Interaction
Evaluate birth year Heavenly Stem: Five Harmonies (Jia-Ji, Yi-Geng...) or Stem Clash. Reflects personality, thinking, and consensus ability.
3. Earthly Branch Interaction
Evaluate birth year Earthly Branch: Triple Harmony, Six Harmonies (good) or Six Clashes, Six Harms (bad). Reflects affection, family, and overall wealth.
4. Ming Gua (Eight Mansions)
Calculate the Ming Gua from lunar birth year and gender, then check the 8x8 matrix to determine Sheng Qi, Yan Nian, Tian Yi, Jue Ming, Wu Gui, and related Eight Mansions results.
II. Grading Scale & Classification
- 85-100% - Highly compatible: Gathering many generating elements and few clashes. A blessed, lasting connection.
- 65-84% - Compatible: Mostly favorable, with a few minor points to note.
- 45-64% - Moderate: Contains both compatible points and areas that require mutual effort.
- 25-44% - Mildly conflicting: Significant clash detected; elemental mitigation is recommended.
- 0-24% - Highly conflicting: Numerous major conflicts. Careful consideration and mitigation are required.
III. Eight Mansions Ming Gua

Two people in the same group (East-East or West-West) usually receive favorable Eight Mansions results such as Sheng Qi, Yan Nian, and Tian Yi. Different groups may encounter Jue Ming or Wu Gui, making house and bed orientation important.
